Two Forwards. One Goal. Vodafone becomes the new main sponsor of Borussia Dortmund.

A small but meaningful detail: Out of respect for BVB and its millions of fans, Vodafone’s logo will appear in black on all of the club’s iconic yellow jerseys for the 2025/26 season. A powerful symbol of a strong connection from the very beginning – between a company that builds connections and one that stands for unity.
“We’re proud to become part of the BVB family. We share the drive to be better every day – on the pitch and in the network. This partnership is more than just a sponsorship; it’s a statement of growth and the alliance of two globally influential brands,” says Marcel de Groot, CEO of Vodafone Germany.
The fact that we’ve inspired such a renowned partner to join us during economically challenging times brings us great joy.
Hans-Joachim Watzke, CEO of Borussia Dortmund
Hans-Joachim Watzke, CEO of Borussia Dortmund, emphasizes:
“BVB has competed in the Champions League every year for the past decade. Vodafone, in its field, has always played at a Champions League level. The fact that we’ve inspired such a renowned partner to join us during economically challenging times brings us great joy.”
BVB Managing Director Carsten Cramer adds:
“Vodafone is a global player with strong innovative capabilities and a clear social stance. Both of these qualities will be reflected in our alliance over the coming years. Their Vodafone logo in our black on all yellow jerseys for the upcoming season already shows: this is anything but a standard partnership. This will be something truly special.”
The partnership between the two companies, which kicks off visually with a social media clip that deliberately leaves room for speculation about the future jersey design, goes far beyond the shirt. Vodafone and BVB will launch a joint innovation and technology initiative. The goal: to create new digital fan experiences – in the stadium, in the app, and in everyday life. For Vodafone customers and BVB supporters alike.
“Borussia Dortmund stands for passion, speed, and true closeness to its fans – just like us. With this partnership, we’re not just putting our logo on the shirt, we’re bringing our full innovation power to the game,” says Vodafone's Head of Consumer Business, Matthias Lorenz. “Together, we’re going on the offensive – on the pitch, in the network, and in the hearts of the people.”
Two brands that stand for passion, quality, and professionalism. Two brands with international appeal and social media power. Two brands that don't accept the status quo – but challenge it.
Welcome to the attack. Welcome to BVB x Vodafone.
