SPORTFIVE Supports Goals for Tomorrow's Reforestation Initiative
In the 2026/27 season, every goal scored by SPORTFIVE partner clubs will contribute to climate action. Together with Goals for Tomorrow, SPORTFIVE is supporting the growth of climate-resilient forests by turning goals scored by our partner clubs in both women’s and men’s football into donations for reforestation projects across Germany.
Goals for Tomorrow is a non-profit fundraising platform founded by professional athletes Maël Corboz (formerly of DSC Arminia Bielefeld and now with Grenoble Foot) and Nicolai Theilinger (TBV Lemgo Lippe). Alongside their sporting careers, the footballer and handball player share a common goal: using the power of sport to make a positive contribution to the environment.
The initiative began in the 2022/23 season as a personal fundraising project by Maël Corboz. For every goal scored by his team, he pledged to donate a fixed amount to climate action. What started three years ago as a simple idea has since grown into a movement and platform that allows fans to donate an amount of their choice for every goal scored by their favorite club, supporting reforestation projects across Germany. Together, supporters have already raised more than €45,000 to plant native and climate-resilient tree species, helping to capture CO₂, promote biodiversity, and strengthen the resilience of forests.
“Goals for Tomorrow was born from a simple idea: linking sporting success, such as scoring goals, with tangible climate action through reforestation projects. As professional athletes, we experience the unique reach and influence of sport every day, and we wanted to harness that potential to take responsibility and inspire others to do the same. What began as a series of individual donations linked to goals has since evolved into an automated platform that enables fans, businesses, and athletes to support reforestation projects across Germany together. Our ambition is to make climate action accessible, tangible, and directly connected to the passion people have for sport,” says Nicolai Theilinger, Managing Director of Goals for Tomorrow gGmbH.

Goals for Tomorrow Supports Reforestation Efforts Across Germany
The next reforestation project is being carried out in collaboration with the Spiegelsberge Forest Administration near Bielefeld. Together with its long-standing partner ForTomorrow, Goals for Tomorrow has already supported a number of tree-planting initiatives in recent years.

ÜBER GOALS FOR TOMORROW
Goals for Tomorrow verbindet sportliche Erfolge mit konkretem Klimaschutz. Über die Plattform können Fans, Unternehmen und Sportler einen selbst gewählten Spendenbetrag beispielsweise an jedes Tor ihres Lieblingsvereins oder ihres Lieblingsspielers koppeln und damit Aufforstungsprojekte in Deutschland unterstützen. Aktuell können Teams und Spieler aus dem Profi-Fußball und Profi-Handball in Deutschland ausgewählt werden, weitere Sportarten und Ligen sollen folgen.
