SQVAD and JD Sports host Union Fan Event
Germany's leading sneaker and sportswear retailer and new sleeve sponsor of Union Berlin, JD Sports, is inviting Union fans to its JD Store in Berlin in September 2023. In addition to Union players Kevin Volland and Sheraldo Becker, SQVAD creators Wakez & Nheisen are also on board. The sponsorship activation perfectly combines the topics of gaming, soccer and fashion.

The Challenge
Gaming, soccer and the brand JD Sports: Union Berlin's Fan Event at the JD Sports store in Berlin was designed to authentically combine these three worlds. Union's new sleeve partner JD Sports aimed to involve "Die Eisernen" fans in the activation, while at the same time bringing them together with their favorite players and the brand.
The Solution
A well-rounded event: the Fan Event perfectly demonstrates how collaboration in the SPORTFIVE network works. As a partner of SPORTFIVE's own creator collective SQVAD and sleeve sponsor of Union Berlin, JD Sports was able to optimally combine soccer and gaming in its own brand world during the fan activation in the Berlin store. Bringing SQVAD creators Wakez & Nheisen on board was the perfect move for a successful event.
The SQVAD creators organized an EA FC session between Union Berlin players and their fans. Wakez & Nheisen also played a match against Kevin Volland and Sheraldo Becker in a 2v2.
